658572Is it possible to order a Rosehip hat online?

You may have noticed that I don’t offer an ‘Online Shop’ for my hats. But there are definitely circumstances when ordering online is feasible.  For example, many of my out-of-town customers who have already purchased face-to-face are looking for another hat, and they are familiar with my product line. They have a good idea of the hat they want to order – style, colour, material, etc. An email discussion with the customer to discuss and confirm details of the order most often ends in a happy online purchase.

That said, after many years of selling hats, my customers have found their most satisfying experience to be ‘in-person’. Trying on many different styles, fabrics and colours, seeing first-hand how they look and feel, and the personal rapport during the exchange – the advantages of this scenario cannot be truly duplicated in an online sales environment. 1) ORDERS and SHIPPING – includes shipping costs and optional delivery methods, delivery time estimates and applicable sales tax.

Shipping to Canada/US destinations – includes up to $100 insurance

    • Standard flat rate – $15 CA approximately
    • 2nd item in shipment rides for free!

Shipping to other International destinations – includes up to $100 insurance

    • Standard flat rate – $25 CA approximately
    • 2nd item in shipment rides for free!

  • all hat prices are listed in Canadian dollars, before taxes
  • Tax rates for Canada:
    • BC customers – 7% PST & 5% GST will be added to retail price listed
    • AB, SK, MB, QC, YT, NT NU – add 5% GST
    • On, NL, NB – add 13% HST
    • PE – add 14% HST
    • NS – add 15% HST
  • US & International – no sales taxes applied

  • Once your hat order is complete, an invoice will be emailed for your Credit Card payment. All major credit cards accepted. Once your secure payment is made, your hat order will ship, within 2-3 business days.
  • For custom work please allow 1-2 weeks for shipment, not including delivery time.
  • For Canada & US destinations, please allow 3-10 days delivery time.
  • For all other International destinations, delivery times may vary. Two to four weeks is typical.

  • All hats are shipped Regular Parcel with Canada Post, well-cushioned and weather-protected in sturdy packaging to ensure safe delivery.
  • Xpresspost, Priority, Expedited, Tracking and Extra Insurance options are available, though extra charges will likely apply. If you would like an estimate for any of these rates, please contact me before placing your order. Please note: I do not assume responsibility for items lost or damaged by the carrier. Please let me know if you would like to upgrade your shipping to fully insure your order. All parcels include $100 insurance in the Standard Shipping costs.
  • When Extra Insurance is added to insure your full purchase, the item will be replaced or refund sent at my discretion.  I strongly suggest you purchase this extra protection as I have no way of tracking or guaranteeing the delivery of your package. Any items shipped without extra insurance will be the sole responsibility of the buyer.
  • International orders – International buyers may be subject to customs charges.  It is the buyer’s responsibility to pay for any customs fees. Please know your country’s regulations regarding this – for information please refer to your local customs agency.  International returns will not be accepted due to customs fees.


2) RETURNS and EXCHANGES – policies and guidelines

Your satisfaction is important to me. If you are unhappy for any reason, let me know and we’ll make arrangements to exchange or return your purchase. Please note the following conditions for returns/exchanges:

  1. Please contact me within 7 days of receiving your purchase.
  2. For any exchange or return the hat must not have been worn and must be in its original condition.
  3. If returning, please use the original packaging and return within 7 days of receipt.
  4. To and From shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer and will not be refunded.
  5. International orders will not be accepted as Returns/Exchanges due to customs fees.
